    I can't find a clip of it! arrrgggghhhhh.

    Well, if anyone wants to check out the episode, it's Season 2, episode 4.  Start at 46:47 minutes in.  They are sitting on the couch discussing the death of a friend and how they knew each other since they were kids.  

    I'd be obliged to anyone who wants to quickly watch the scene and then get back to me.

    Yep. I'm that person who will stop reading to look up a word.  Or I will investigate a situation further that is discussed in a book, movie, film, music.  It's how I learn.  I just don't skim by this stuff.  I want to understand and learn.  So, this one is sticking in my craw.  It's bugging me!

    I had no idea what knackers were and Flake know it... I'm getting old and grey and out of touch with the times.....   I've started watching The Flight Attendant. Seen the first two episodes. So far so good. I think Kaley Cuoco is good in the lead. Interesting to see her making a non comedic role. When i first saw her i just said "Hey, Theres Penny!" but its starting to wear off now.

    I think the knackers thing might be a British term (maybe?) that's filtered down to Aussie and NZ.

    Finished up Last Tango in Halifax.  Ended up with a great dislike of Celia. Couldn’t get past my judgement of Gillian. I tried really hard.  i tried to be cool. I failed. 
     But the actress was fantastic in the role. Boy, she could turn on those tears.

    i was disappointed that they introduced and dropped two character storylines— paul and gary. Especially paul’s.  The actor plays a really nasty villain— he was one in Dr. Who also.

    Not really. The "knacker man" is a commonly used phrase in James Herriot's stories -- he's the guy who gathers up the dead animals for disposal -- but I've never heard this Yorkshire slang before.

    So it's not from Halifax Nova Scotia I guess  - I forgot so many places in Canada are actually named after the 'old country' - thanks!

    We really enjoyed Miss Scarlet and the Duke on PBS. Six parts -- she's a Victorian "Remington Steel" in a way -- taking over her father's detective agency. Good chemistry between her and the Scotland Yard detective who she constantly irritates.

    Not a TV show, but a wonderful series of youtubes. 

    I love this woman.  She is so interesting.  I've been watching her videos for 10 years now and I've always been fascinated.

    In this video, she takes a look at movie corpses and rates how well they did.

    She gives the corpse in Stand By Me a good rating!
