Today I have not accomplished much. But I need to get with it. Need to run to the library and print off Ty's hunter safety card. We had just gotten done with the class in the spring when everything shut down so I never got it printed. Tomorrow is opening morning for deer season so he should have it. The licenses print his sportsman ID number on them, so he doesn't technically need it (that number is given to you when you take the class so proves you have) but always good, just in case.
Scott is taking him out on a coworkers place tomorrow so hopefully they both tag out right away! It is always a blessing to get permission to hunt private land. Nobody else (or very few) around and better chances. This is Ty's first year being able to hunt so crossing fingers!!
Have a great day everyone!
There are more and more out of state hunters every year to compete with. So the public land Scott went to yesterday was over run with people. They didn't even stay out that long yesterday, it just wasn't going to happen.
Between the hot, dry summer and the fire on the other side of the state making hunting impossible there, that is driving even more people to try here, it may be a rough year to try to put anything in the freezer.
They are going to give it a few days, maybe let some of the out of staters get gone before they go out again.
Other than that, tonight is Homecoming for Ali. There is no school dance but she has pep band and marching at the football game and then she is going to a friend's for an after party. I am so not ready for the teen girl stuff like this! Boys, parties...UGH. What happened to my little girl??
