    I remember vampire lore where if the main vampire got killed, the vampires he created were free and human again. Alive.  

    For the life of me, I cannot remember where i remember this version from. Movie? Book? TV show?  Does anyone else remember this version of vampirehood?

    The only one I can think of where it's mentioned is the Fright Night remake from 2011.
