    Has anyone here been to the Taj Mahal? 

    Apparently it is absolutely beautiful in person. And very much an architectural wonder.

    I've been there. It is absolutely fantastic. Makes a much bigger impact when there than on picture. I think it was in 2005 but i'm unsure now about the exact year. Around then anyway.

    I was paying a visit to New Delhi and knew i couldn't go home without seeing it. So took a train from New Delhi (the most crazy trainride of my life, people where laying in the baggage holders above the sitting places thats how full it was) and spent two days there, one visiting Taj Mahal and one riding a camel along the shore of Ganges that lies just below it really.
