    No it didn't miss them, she put up a quick post on FB saying how awful/scary it was. I'm going back soon to see if she can update me.

    She said they're okay but still don't have any power, she's glad it's cool outside because of the power/no AC issue. I'm just waiting to hear if they had any damage.

    Surprisingly, no! A couple of really minor things were knocked loose, and small branches. But I walked through the neighborhood to my mom’s house yesterday, and there were giant oak limbs down, and smaller trees down completely. I’m really lucky - I have an enormous, beautiful pine in my backyard and it didn’t lose anything.
