I started watching Bob Ross.  With these comments I don't think I sould go on.
I received a message " if you are kidnapped the last character in a show you watched will save you.
I had to say Bob Ross.  I'm in trouble

It’s so awful. But, if you watch it and voice your outrage, and enough people do, maybe something can happen to fix this.

I’m especially troubled because my mom loved watching bob ross shows. She would be so sad. It’s disgusting when  bad people continue to get away with bad things.

Finished Bob Ross.  I so hope someone creative with a shit ton of money will step up and fund a legal fight for what is right here.  #FreeBobRoss, #SupportStephenRobertRoss

    UNTOLD:  Bruce Jenner

@GNTLGNT.   Okay Scott.  I know you are terribly hurt and angry about Bruce Jenner, but I really recommend you watch this documentary on Netflix.  It is hard to watch.  It is hard to understand.  Such a gorgeous man.  HE had everything, but he was willing to risk everything to be a she.

All of this pretty much focuses on the Olympics. I watched them then.  It was hard to watch them now.   But the historical aspect was fascinating.  Stepping into that Wayback Machine.

Think how much damn pain someone must be in to risk everything.

I just watched this too, on your suggestion.   Bittersweet, but worth the watch.

Mucho Mucho Amor: The Legend of Walter Mercado

wth. This was another documentary on a creative losing the rights to themselves. Some weasley piece of crap exploits and steals an identity ,  a name.

Like Bob Ross, he wasn’t in his thing for money. I believe that with both men. It was the people around each that were the money grubbers.  Shaking people down for the dosh.

It took Walter 6 years, but he eventually got his name and rights back .   Good for him.

I didn’t watch  his shows, but i was familiar with his big flamboyant  presence.

It’s a sweet, interesting documentary. I recommend it.

  • I am watching
Struggle: The Lost Art of Szukalski

It advises me it will contain: sex, language and smoking.

I must gird my loins — Smoking!!!! The inhumanity of it all. I will avert my eyes. Thanks for that stupid warning.

Better yet, Give me a heads up when a gazelle stubs its toe, or when something really cuddly is going to meet a grisly injury or death. I’d appreciate that warning.

  • Everybody talking about Lizzie Borden as if she was hanged for the murders. In reality she was aqquitted and lived the rest of her life in freedom. Its interesting. I mean i think she probably did it but its impossible to prove. And i have seen some criminologists that have suggested other solutions.

....this documentary explores several possibilities, albeit mostly paranormal, but others who had motive and access as well.....yes, Lizzie was acquitted and lived out her life in relative calm, championing animal welfare cause-yet I'm sure was never truly at peace.....

    Attack of the Hollywood Clichés!

this was hosted by Rob Lowe and was fun.  talked about the Wilhelm Scream and the Lewton’s Bus (jump scares ) and unfortunately, The Green Mile was used as an example of The Magical Negro — yikes.

Many other ones we’ve talked about in random convos over the years.  Too bad Fushingfeef’s contortions weren’t mentioned because he’s right.

  • We watched "Classic Albums: Pink Floyd – The Making of The Dark Side of the Moon" last night. An interesting deep dive into the creation of one of the best albums of all time.
If you haven't seen it before Bev this one about the making of Wish You Were Here is also extremely interesting.

  • Rita Moreno Just a Girl Who Decided to Go For It.

This was an honest, open doc about her told by her.

  • Truman &Tennessee: An Intimate Conversation

I love looking at artistic minds. Fascinating stuff kicking around in there.

I’ve  always wondered what King thought of these men writers/personalities of an age. — throw in William Buckley, Gore Vidal, Norman Mailer.  I would absolutely love to hear him speak on nothing else but that.  Men writers of a generation.

    Stuffed — criterion

this was a documentary on taxidermy. An odd choice for me you might say if you know my stance on animal death (for the record, I’m against it — animal death. Yeah. Totally check the no box.)

but this was actually beautiful. the love and devotion the showcased artistic professionals had for their animals was commendable.  I learned a lot from them.
