Fun With Taxidermy by fartfart - Meme Center
This is a certain class of taxidermy— i forget what they called it.  Sort if Rogue stuff. Apparently serious taxidermists wouldn’t be caught dead doing this , but most do appreciate the creative art of it.

This was deceiving Mr. Vincent. In Dana- speak, the pervy aspect,  this meant there was a lot of totally disgusting embarrassing things to be revealed.

In reality, this meant they were very musically detailed about every single note ever played by the band.

    What note was it?
    How loud was it played?
    which instrument played it?
    which member originated said note?
who decided where the note belonged in which song?
Did the note get ripped off by management leaving it penniless to start again?

Oh heck, I missed it! I really don't watch TV anymore except for the news at dinner time.
I still love Adele's voice, she's fun to sing along with.

  • One comment I saw said it was like watching your parents fight! We had to keep reminding ourselves they're only 26 (George) -29 (John) years old.

We watched the first part last night -- it is very, um, detailed. It is fascinating to watch the creation of such songs as Get Back and Let it Be and Long and Winding Road in real time but, as Linwood Barclay observed, it's a little like watching an author write a novel. My wife wasn't nearly as interested by it as I was, I'd say. I'll probably watch the rest, but I'm not sure she will.

I was intrigued by how the principle conflict wasn't between Paul and John, but rather between Paul and George, who quits the band at the end of the first part.

Paul is definitely the most driven of the group, George feeling under-appreciated. John is very happy-go-lucky but not bringing much of his own music to the group at this point. (Maybe he will once their backs are up against the wall.) Ringo is just going along with everything, rarely saying anything but always able to bring the beat when called upon.

Some of the hangers-on are interesting. One guy really has a thing for this coliseum in Tripoli where he wants them to stage the concert, perhaps even taking the audience with them on a ship. Big ideas. Dick James shows up and is a total bore!

Now, this is a group that every note they played interests me — unlike the moody blues .

There is a moment that i’m guessing you haven’t gotten to yet that sounds very odd. But it is supposed to be the most fascinating thing they show (according to one reviewer guy).   It would definitely have me analyzing closely.

i just finished Ringo’s masterclass. What i really loved about it, he says many times, there were moments he could not play what was wanted. He just couldn’t do it, he wasn’t a good enough drummer. But he always figured out a way to give them the sound in a way  he did know how to do.

When he tours now, there are 3 drummers. Two to do the things he can’t.  I appreciated his honesty about it. Just matter-of-fact about it.

  • The drummer for the Moody Blues said that there came a point when he couldn't perform up to his old standards in concert -- he couldn't give it his all for 2+ hours and he couldn't pace himself. So they got a second drummer who could go all out on certain songs while the band's drummer took it easy so he could go all out on other songs.
