  • Made You Look — a true story about fake art

this was very good.  I learned  a lot of new terminology related to the art world.

I copy a lot of artists and i have  no training.   The artist in this documentary was a brilliant,  true artist who wasn’t very successful being himself. But, he successfully copied and fooled experts, collectors and critics for years and for millions of dollars — that he didn’t get.  So, how guilty was he? I have thoughts about it.

At least i sign my name to my copies — i don’t even try to pass them off as the artist i copied  — that would be embarrassing.

My avatar is a copy i did and i had someone want to buy it from me.  I was so flattered! Such a sweet person. But i didn’t feel right about selling someone else’s copyrighted idea .  Or could I have sold it freely with no guilt? I painted it freehand. I signed my name. I freely and loudly give Michael lang credit.  I don’t know. There was an ethical line there for me.

Dana - I found a pic of you and some sistas - must be a family reunion!

I absolutely love this series of paintings by Michael Lang. I can’t afford his work.   But, he has an awesome merch page i will be buying from of inexpensive images. I would love to own a huge original.

  • AUDREY

Audrey Hepburn was absolutely fascinating. I did not realize she came from the childhood she did.  Quite a life, quite a story.

Of course, it made me think of our little Holly and hope she's doing well out there in the world.

  • Tell Me Who I Am..... A  horrific story of twin brothers who suffered sexual abuse at the hands of their mother. Very difficult to watch, very upsetting.

  • Watched Sasquatch, a three episode mini series on Hulu, an investigative reporter delves into a near 30 year old mystery about whether an alleged triple homicide was really an attack by the legendary Bigfoot creature. This was recommended to me by a buddy, I looked it up and the reviews of it were good, a murder mystery/creature feature, sounded good. Trust me, it isn't, the whole thing is based of the reporter's own recollection of hearing a worker on a marijuana farm say he saw a couple of bodies ripped to shreds in one of the fields. So, there's no proof, no bodies, no crime scene, no witnesses to the alleged event, and this is spread over three episodes! So it goes something like this..

Do you know anything about some guys who got killed by bigfoot back in '93?

No, I don't know anything about that.

                           OR

Yeah I heard rumours about that.

There's a plot twist about "Bigfoot" which adds absolutely nothing to the outcome.

Watch it if you must but don't expect any answers...
