I’ve always heard handicapped people hate when people stare and then look away. They know they make people uncomfortable but they would rather be asked about their problem than be some leprotic creature. 

Kids are honest and open. So, go to the year Inspector Gadget was in the theaters. My young son and i were in the grocery store and a 30ish man with a metal prosthetic leg walked by my son. He was wearing shorts. And my kid was all over that. Instead of me being embarrassed or the guy being embarrassed, he said to my boy, “ I look like a robot, don’t I?” My son just stared and I said, “he is probably seeing you more as Inspector gadget.”  The guy laughed and loved that.

....that is a great memory nugget.....kids ARE open, you never have to wonder what they're thinking by and large....though, sometimes their musings and questions make me want to grab a garlic soaked crucifix....

Has anyone been on an airplane where someone has freaked out?   Apparently it’s a growing problem.  

Can these nutballs just decrease the surplus population?  Please and thanks.

Actually my impression is the opposite, not that i fly very much, but it is quieter on the trips nowadays. Its because earlier if a child started screaming there was nowhere to go but now you just produce an Ipad and you have a babysitter for the whole flight! I have luckily missed the grownups that freak out.
