How did you make the dogs sit and pose like that? A very big bribe???
I said "wait"... and they sat and waited until I said "okay".  (always hopeful for a treat, I didn't have one... they just came over for pats instead)

Teddy just chillin', these hot days must have been hard on him. He's looking smart with his new haircut though, probably a big relief. ❤

You've had a spectacular summer there, we're starting to doubt that you're actually from Ireland.

  • This whole week has been between 25 and 28 C. Very comfortable. Further south in europe, in france and germany, the rivers run dry and drinking water is sparse.....  Lucky to be in the cold north i guess!

That sounds about perfect to me Kurben, any hotter than 28C just gets uncomfortable here without AC.

  • And that's all I've got to say about thay-at.

  • I'm melting. Out side its Ok. But i work inside, in an archive, in an old house that is protected by certain rules and regulations so that no changes can be made. And so the window is locked and with alarm on. And you're feeling like you're sitting in a sauna and the air is bad. The result is that when you slowly wander homewards you feel (and probably look!) more like a zombie than a human being. You move so slowly you start to think you are a zombie but at least noone starts to tun when they see you. This has been my week so far, all i want is some rain to clear the air. I'm sure it has immense weight, it feels like a heavy blanket hanging over you.

Lovely... are these flowers the "...grandma,  grandma pop-out-of-beds"?
(hopefully this is not just a Kiwi rhyme)

  • That was meant to be "Granny, granny..." not grandma. 🙄☺

I don't know what they're called Flakes, they're growing at the side of the road just beside the spot I'm working.

They're called Calystegia Sepium and it is them! As kids grandma would take us on walks and she would pinch the base while saying the rhyme and the flower would POP high up into the air... we kids would squeal in delight, it was as though she'd just performed magic. 💜
