  • Just a general warning. On Netflix there are something called Ancient Apocalypse that calls itself a documentary. Thats a big lie! It is Graham Hancock who is putting out his usual unsupported theories without a shred of evidence. To call it a documentary ought to be a crime. There ought to be some solid facts in it  but is not.. The boss of Netflix documentary division just happen to be the son of Graham Hancock and his fathers drivel has passed through totally unfiltered. So if you watch it, or read one of his books, don't believe a word!! He is a good liar but that is the only thing he is good at.

  • @BevVincent - i am watching The Texas killing Fields on Netflix. This is close to you. Your thoughts?  Any of your short stories jumped started from these crimes? (I didn’t want to use the word “inspired”, didn’t seem right.)

  • I saw Rosie O'Donnell on TikTok talking about a new Casey Anthony documentary. She said that after watching, she's convinced Casey is innocent. So of course, I'm intrigued.

Anyone who's lived around here as long as I have is very familiar with the killing fields on the south side of the city. I haven't watched the documentary yet, but I probably will. I don't think I've ever utilized it in my fiction. Not yet, at least.

There is one thing you can trust coming from Casey’s mouth — she says she was a liar. And I believe she is continuing the lie. She’s tired of being a pariah. Jmo of course. I will probably watch doc too.

Hope you all are doing well kiddo.

Howard stern interview of Bruce was terrific.

At the beginning of Howard’s career, i was not a fan. Crude. Juvenile. Stupid shit. BUT….every once in a while he would do a serious interview that I would tune into. He is a masterful interviewer. He does his research and he connects. He will share just a tidbit of himself that gets the guest opening up about themselves on some very serious and personal subjects. Skillfully. I like the new and improved Howard. He’s smart and sensitive and a much more interesting man.

“Sr.”  — this was a doc on Robert Downey Sr. done by junior.

He was a strange guy that marched to the beat of a weird creative monster. I have a hard time not judging because he got his kid, Robert, into drugs. Being cool parent in that regard isn’t parenting.

But, like all of us have regrets and want some do-overs, Sr. does have regrets.  It is poignant and while they don’t think this doc Is a father/son thing, it is.  Sad.

I think Robert jr. is a terrific actor and I’m so glad he’s cleaned up with a good outlook.

They’ve done a professional job up to this point. I am impressed and I am glad they have a voice. There is nothing so frustrating as not being able to speak freely about something you have intimate knowledge of, especially when the other side has free reign and no compass and don’t care about truth or honor.  No one has your back and you just have to take it. High road you say? Bullshit.

But… I am watching closely to see what the next 3 episodes bring.  I’m not completely wrapped up in this cocoon of love.  How will they treat others who don’t have a free voice?

  • I'm not trusting any documentary that either the Harry, Meghan couple or the british Royal house put out further than i can throw it. Both parties seem mostly interested in throwing dirt at the other party.

So far, it’s been a pretty straightforward look at their start.  For the most part, I believe their account AS THEY SEE IT so far. It seems intelligent and straightforward.

It’s the next 3 episodes that will tell the tale. I need to see those before I make a call on it. Here is where it could get ugly.

  • I remember watching him at 12:30 at night, after the tonight show was off.
    Always liked him.
Now I have been reading/seeing sceevie things about him.

And by the way, he needs to lose that beard.

    Don’t Pick Up the Phone.

This is absolutely crazy batshit nuts. I recommend this one because it speaks to the unquestioning and misplaced loyalty of dumb people. Wow. Wow. Wow.

I am shocked— but nowadays, not surprised. Stupid people.

We watched Pelosi in the House on HBO Max last night -- directed by her daughter, Alexandra. It's an interesting behind-the-scenes look at what her career has been like since she was first elected as a Representative. It doesn't always get far beneath the veneer, but the stuff about January 6 is particularly compelling.

  • Second half of Meghan & Harry.

I have mixed thoughts on this. My hope is, you had your say, harry’s book is coming out , now let it go. The longer they go on with this, the worse it will be.

I can see both sides on what was going on.  I lean towards them a lot, but not always.
