This might be DIY more than crafts but since I did make the macrame hangers, I guess it counts. :) I've always wanted to do something with the dead space above my sink but realized putting a shelf between the cabinets would block the light from the under cabinet fixture and I didn't want to put up anything that would mean drilling into the tile. It had looked even emptier before I had the gooseneck faucet installed last week but still too bare. Herbs had always been my thought for what would look good and be practical, too. It finally occurred to me I could hang pots by installing them from the underside of the top cabinet. Eureka! And voila.

Love it!  I'm stealing borrowing this idea, but I can't macramé, so I'll improvise.  Maybe some chain link or something.

PS:  I found these pots at Home Depot. They're plastic so a lot lighter weight but look like clay. I was a little worried about clay being too heavy and possibly not holding up with the cup hooks even though they screw in. Might not have been an issue but putting it out there just in case.
Definitely an issue here.  My old house seems to be held together with liquid nails and Papier-mâché!   I'll be going with the plastic for sure.   :D

Pics when you've got it finished!

Did you ever do the quilt project?
I've started the quilt, but I had the idea to order some of my family tartan swatches from Scotland, and I'm waiting on those to arrive before I can finish.
That is a terrific, creative addition to your quilt and what gives a quilt its story .   Yes, photos in progress are always cool.

I personally like the buildings in the photo. I could go all art talk on you, but i’ll spare you.

Ditto, old buildings add story to a landscape.

It was unbelievably easy.  But it's gorgeous. The picture doesn't do it justice.  I can't wait to have my quilter quilt it.

I would recommend The Great pottery Throw down to all you creatives.  Super fun series.  Keith brymer jones is absolutely the loveliest of guys — he will cry over someone’s hard work.  He is so encouraging.  He loves to see true creativity, people making an effort and succeeding— he gets so choked up and i get choked up right along with him

    i’m seeing it in hbomax

Oh lord. I’m onto something new. Busts. I’m going to carve a bust and my chosen subject?  Stephen King.

Why him? I’m not particularly interested in having a bust of stephen king in my house (no offense Steve) but let’s face it, he has a very distinctive look. And the best part, there are a quadrillion bunch of pictures of him available from all angles to study.

It will be small, not some huge Napoleonic bust (no pun intended. Napoleon was small, get it? Got it? Good.)

i will show you my MOMA quality finished product. Please practice your oooo’s and ahhhh’s now.  No projectilus vomitus allowed.

THis is the guy's video I watched that made me think, "sure. I can do that."  hahaahoehaaaehaohee!

It's a long video but fascinating to watch.  What's interesting, he whacks big chunks of clay away, and then turns around and puts it right back.  He makes this look seriously easy.

Maybe this one.  Good photo.  mischievious glint in the eye and turn of the mouth that I know for a fact I can capture.  (you are believing this, right?) No pesky teeth showing.

    I can do this.
