....this little project certainly doesn't rank up there with the beautiful things y'all have posted-but I had fun with it and that's the goal of this I believe.....1/24 scale car that I searched for and found, in the perfect shade of primer gray.....located some Harley Quinn-centric decals and figures, few minutes later-ba-da-bing, ba-da-boom....

I absolutely love this!  It is art and it is creative and I love seeing it.

Believe it or not, I used to put together model cars and airplanes as a kid, then I moved into the monster sets.  I wish I still had those things, they are worth huge money now.

    Nice job.  Keep showing us.

This is fantastic, Scott! I love the decals! It's absolutely about having fun in whatever the medium is that you're being creative. No need to feel you have to be artsy fartsy. ;)

  • Had a crafting weekend and finished this project. I made it using polymer clay to make all the pieces (except the frame, of course) and then painted them. It took a lot of time for all the border pieces but I'm happy with the end result.

How it looks up on the wall

  • This might be DIY more than crafts but since I did make the macrame hangers, I guess it counts. :) I've always wanted to do something with the dead space above my sink but realized putting a shelf between the cabinets would block the light from the under cabinet fixture and I didn't want to put up anything that would mean drilling into the tile. It had looked even emptier before I had the gooseneck faucet installed last week but still too bare. Herbs had always been my thought for what would look good and be practical, too. It finally occurred to me I could hang pots by installing them from the underside of the top cabinet. Eureka! And voila.

That looks amazing Marsha, I can only imagine the hours it took.

  • Beautiful M, truly lovely piece. And I love the herb pots too, perfect. I'm forever having to run out to the front garden during cooking to get my fresh herbs, this is brilliant.

  • Great creativity with both! Love the ideas.
