    We have all the trim for the 3 new doors stained and this morning we are staining the first door. 

    We went with a lighter stain than the floor because 1) we wanted to bring out the beautiful grain on these doors and 2) we do not have a window in our living room (weird, right?) and the doors we are replacing are white, so we thought darker doors would darken up our already light-challenged room too much. 

    After doing the trim, I was concerned it was not going to compliment the floor (even though we had the floor sample with us when we picked it, it always looks different on the pic on the can) but after getting the first side of the door done and seeing how the stain brought out the darker knots I think it will look nice. Help tie it into the floor. What do you guys think?

    Here is a new pic of Lily and Raven, this was Thursday when we had turned the AC on the first time. They seemed to think it was pretty ok. They have become fast friends. Raven growing already, her legs are longer and she isn't quite such a chunk! 😄

    Ok door #1 is hung. I still need to do some touch-up, stain the inside of the jamb. It looks like the trim is off, but it is just because I need to stain the jamb. Still not 100% sure about the color of the door against the floor but we're committed now! 🤪😄 Don't mind the tool mess. 🙃

    Hope to get door #2 stained tomorrow and put up Tuesday.
