...incredibly life-like!....seriously Sunny, these are beautiful snaps....your colors look to be about a week ahead of ours.....Tracy and I went back-roading for a couple of hours yesterday and Mama Nature has just lightly brushed leaves as yet......

Thanks!! We're pretty close to peak.  I'm hoping the rainy weekend won't ruin my Rough Ridge view.  Can't wait to hike to the top and look over the gorge.  
I went all by myself yesterday.....learning that yes, I can do things and enjoy time spent alone.  Can't wait to see the pics you and Tracy get.....she has such an artful eye ♥

Yes, you can do things by yourself.  BUT,  there are vampires in those woods so be sure to get home before dark.  

And yes, not to be a buzz kill but I must throw out, please be safe.  Do you have your concealed carry on you?  Be alert and vigilant.  You don't want to get dragged off by some perv mountain man.

Yes ma'am.  I promise to be safe.  I should receive my permit by the end of this month.  
You don't have to worry about me being out in the woods after dark.....here there be coyotes, bears, and unknown beasts!  I have a knife in my pocket and pepper spray with me at all times.

These are for Scott.  I love old buildings too.  
The first one is an old church shelter used when preachers traveled about, preached a day or two and moved on.
The second is Jesse Brown's cabin.  I have no idea who he was or why his cabin has been preserved.

There isn't much color on Thunder Hill because the old receptionist's body hasn't decayed enough to kick in as fertilizer.  That is where the new receptionist buried her, wasn't it?
