    Unforgotten — prime

    Nicola Walker. This was a PBS Masterpiece thing so I am tickled it came to one of my services. 

    That first season was all over the place. The murders were bad, but the most chilling thing about the whole damn season took place in the last half hour and the last 10 mins .   The cruelty of that son, that was scary shit.

    The Better Sister on Prime, based on Alafair Burke's novel. I've read a few of her books but not this one, so I have no idea what's coming. A decent thriller.

    Alrighty then.  I’ve been circling a series called Deadloch on Prime and because i am horribly sick and stuck in bed, I decided to give it a go. It’s a Tasmanian murder mystery. 

    No spoilers, but the first minute has two girls walking on the beach. One is smoking. The first girl stops dead in her tracks and the one with the cig trips over a naked dead body, the next line is “oh shit, his dick is on fire” as she beats the fire out with her hat. 

    Okay. Creative opening.

    I honestly think I got food poisoning.  I have felt like hell and boy, it’s been one big adventure.

    This took me about 3 episodes to start really liking it. That first episode was rough. Crass vulgarity isn’t my go-to humor. BUT.. this ended up being a lot of fun.  If they do another season, i’d watch it for sure. 

    It’s wacky. But a great little mystery.  If you get triggered by strong lesbian women, well… sit this one out snowflake.

    I usually tap out immediately when something doesn’t grab me but I kept with it and also glad i did.

    I barely got the first season in. Unbeknownst to me, season one, (the only season available) was leaving in blah blah hours. Just barely enough time for me to get it in. But, I did and enjoyed it. I wish I could watch all the seasons but alas, not available.

    2) I've watched this series, it's good but yeah definitely agree about the initial knee-jerk reaction.
