  • Wait! - everyone did it on the Orient Express?
    Almost everyone...
    😂

Even Hercule was an accessory.  Texas Law of Parties would hang him.

I dont remember how it was in the movie. In the book he presented two solutions (one of which were obviously the truth) and said that he would support whichever people agreed on. Are you an accessory if you dont tell the truth to the police even if you havent helped in any way before the crime??

  • I think an argument could be made that you became an accessory after the fact by helping to cover up a crime.

    The Residence is very clever.

Peppered with so many hidden and blatant easter eggs of other things. Some I catch —  I know there are a lot I’m missing and I feel left out!  References to things that a person would get if they read the book or saw the movie or are aware of a person, place or thing or “curious incident.”

    a great ensemble piece.

    Halfway through episode 6.  Onward.

  • Fun show, The Residence.  I knew who it was before the reveal, last episode to be fair, but they kept me guessing that I had it till Det. laid it out.

  • Watching RealityZ. A brazilian Zombie drama apocalypse. The main setting is the place for the popular reality show Olympus where the participants are isolated and playing different gods in the olympic pantheon. While they are there the outbreak begin and we see most of the action from their and the productions viewpoint. Its main strength so far is that is not against killing off major characters, people you thought would be with us to the end. So i like it so far, It is said yo be inspired by something, book or series called Dead Set which i never heard of. My portuguese is extremely limited but the mention it for every episode. Netflix

  • Watched Culprits, a british-american  mini series about a heist that is successful but then, three years later someone is starting to kill off the different members of the gang. Some doublecrossing going on while our protagonist is forced back into his role as deadly hired muscleman to protect his new family. Who and why is after them? And how do they know their new secret identities? good thriller series even if the premise isn't new.

The movie version with Alan Alda et al is one of my favorite movies.  (Alan makes a cameo in new series).

It’s not my movie, but it’s cute.

  • I love that movie, too.   Also it made me think of "Same time next year" with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn - love that one also.

We thought about watching the original last night but couldn't find it streaming anywhere. Then we watched the trailer on YouTube and decided we were better off not finding it anywhere. It looks horrible all these years later!

    Roar is a separate series:

“Based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern, this genre-bending anthology series weaves together eight darkly comedic feminist fables that take unexpected approaches to subjects like gender roles, autonomy and identity.”

I finished it. It wasn’t bad. Different take on characters and situations here and there, some changes were okay, others I didn’t like at all.

To me they felt like they were forced and acting playing characters while in the original  was so light-hearted but deep at the same time like you were watching a bunch of your real friends.

Now I'm looking all over for this time next year and I can't find it anywhere.

You got it right. The original was much more believable that they were lifelong friends.

  • On youtube , Tcm shows an interview with Rob Reiner and Kathy Bates talking about Misery.  Just dropped.

Absolutely fascinating. Kathi totally wanted to chop Paul’s feet off and she wanted to run a person over with a lawn mower. (Apparently this is in the story? i don’t remember).

Rob felt “Paul shouldn’t lose something after learning something. “
