We watched Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium on Disney+ last night. I've seen him live at least eight or nine times since 1984. This was a good concert--would probably have been terrific to be there in person. Showing his age, of course, but still decent. I noticed that he didn't play anything recorded after the mid-80s except for his song with Dua Lipa, which was a bit of a shame. Great to see the old band members still there: Davey, Nigel, Ray.

...we saw the show in Columbus, Ohio and then watched the livestream....he was again awesome, but as you say-it would have been electric to be in the belly of that beast....his set list was crafted to appeal to the widest range of fans, both new and old....they all know the hits-the "newer" material, not so much....having played all of them over the years, I can see the thought that went into it...giving the biggest bang for the buck....I was a bit concerned he was going to have a wardrobe malfunction in that first suit he wore...damn pants wouldn't stay up.....

....yeppur, Tracy and I cried again....we wept during our concert attendance and again during the livestream.....he was a constant on the GNT playlist in my DJ days....very seldom was their not a Captain Fantastic cut spinning on a turntable or CD player....a giant in his own right, contained in a miniscule frame....
