Very nice interview.  Overall new stuff. I like that whether personal or professional, i love to hear about the random. Simple things.

Fairy Tale has artwork! I am thrilled to hear this as I have always championed the artist. Glad to see nowadays more people giving them their due when discussing the books. 

BUT — Here is where I have to give Stephen a spanking.  He says, paraphrasing, “ Gabriel Rodriguez, who does my son Joe’s stuff and ANOTHER GUY do the artwork for Fairy Tale.”

Shame. Shame. Shame. This means everything to that ANOTHER GUY. 

wth.  Who is the ANOTHER GUY — he deserves some love.

I thought it was an excellent interview. They went place I haven't often heard before, if at all.

The other guy is Nicolas Delort. There are spot illustrations (line art) at the beginning of every chapter.

Yep, very good interview. Gabriel’s art is amazing and very much connected to Joe Hill, but let’s take a look at Nico’s art.

Beautiful stuff. I particularly like his black and whites but his color stuff is gorgeous too.

Line art can be many things, but i see it as simple black and white drawings. detail oriented sometimes but generally monochromatic. 

So, artists with color skills at the top of talent, and we only get simple black and white line drawings. No color? I hope for an occasional slick color insert. 

I hope for another definition of line art in this case.

The festival will return in October for ten days of literature, music and food.

King is set to dial in remotely for a rare interview with BBC Radio 4 journalist Mark Lawson.
