What's your take on the dispute Bev?  To me it's two big companies battling over the bottom line. Writers are a just a commodity and incidental.

I've read a lot about it but I'm not sure that I fully understand what's going on. I don't think it's fair of Amazon to do what they're doing from the listings perspective, though -- making it difficult for people to buy any Hachette books when the dispute is over ebook pricing, as I understand it. Granted, Amazon isn't the only game in town when it comes to buying books, but they're the go-to place for many people. 

This thing has stretched on for a long time with no sign of a resolution.

Yes I'm surprised there hasn't been some sort of unfair business practices lawsuit against Amazon at this point. Sure they can decide what and what not to sell but in light of the Hachette conflict it seems obvious that Amazon is using their distribution clout as a bargaining lever.

Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’

In addition to previously announced guests George Clooney and Presidential candidate Jeb Bush, Colbert will host “Trainwreck” star Amy Schumer and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Colbert will also interview “Avengers: Age of Ultron” star Scarlett Johansson and horror author Stephen King during his first few days behind the desk that David Letterman famously held for 22 years.

King will appear on the show on September 11.
