  • I think this season is built around pairs of episodes -- next week's is Speak No Evil to wrap up this week's See No Evil. When I was on the set, they were filming 7 & 8 together.
  • Part 2 of the web series Haven Origins is now available
  • Haven moves back to Friday nights starting this week in the US. In Canada, the show stays on Thursday but there will be a rerun this week, presumably so the US airing of new episodes will come first.
  • Guess who's getting beamed up to Haven for four episodes!

Shatner will recur in a four-episode Season 5 arc in “a seminal role,” as a pivotal character that has the potential to forever impact the fate of the town of Haven and its Troubled residents.

This September, troubles are multiplying in Entertainment One's Haven: Season 5 Vol. 1, which features the first 13 episodes of the SyFy-broadcast series' fifth season.  The 4-disc Blu-ray release of Haven: Season 5 Vol. 1 is presented in 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. • Audio Commentary
  • The Troubles are coming to an end. Syfy has canceled its long-running supernatural drama “Haven,” which will end its run after the upcoming 13-episode conclusion to its fifth season.

Showrunner Gabrielle Stanton told TheWrap that even though the decision came after Season 5 of “Haven” had wrapped, the creative team was prepared for the end.

“I’m sure as a fellow TV fan, there’s nothing more annoying than when a show kind of feels like it might be wrapping up, but they just don’t address it, they don’t come to any kind of satisfying conclusion,” she said. “I always think that’s cheating the audience a little bit, of a nice satisfying ending. So we really looked at these 13 episodes as if… If we were indeed going to end, what would be the best ending we could possibly do for Haven?”

  • No surprise at all.  Believed this was the end from the moment the split season was announced.
  • Key mysteries will be solved when Syfy's long-running supernatural original series HAVEN comes to an end in 13 final episodes, beginning Thursday, October 8 at 10/9c.

In the action-packed second half of Season 5, the town of HAVEN has been cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious fog - and hometown heroes Audrey (Emily Rose), Nathan (Lucas Bryant), Duke (Eric Balfour) and Dwight (Adam Copeland) are faced with challenges unlike any they've experienced before. As events in HAVEN sprints towards a cataclysmic showdown, tensions rise, allegiances shift and - in a harrowing closing chapter - the mystery of "Croatoan" is finally revealed.

Joining the cast this season is William Shatner, in a recurring role as a pivotal character with the potential to forever impact the fate of Haven.

The countdown begins with "New World Order," airing October 8 at 10/9c. In the episode, Dwight struggles to keep order as Duke's troubles wreak havoc throughout town and Audrey and Charlotte (Laura Mennell) join forces to battle a mysterious fog trapping the residents of HAVEN within the town borders.

In an opening night double-header, the drama continues at 11/10c in the episode titled "Power," as conditions grow increasingly desperate. To calm the terrified public, Nathan assembles a taskforce on a kamikaze mission to restore power. Meanwhile, Audrey races against the clock as the bodies stack up.

Episodes will air regularly Thursdays at 10/9c through the December 17 series finale.

Returning guest stars include fan favorites Kris Lemche as paranormal investigator Seth Byrne, Steve Lund as the Colorado Kid, and Jay Reso (aka WWE Superstar Christian) as McHugh, one of Dwight's childhood friends.
