  • Watched Outside (2024) on Netflix. A philippine Zombie apocalypse movie. Not bad at all. Centers around a family flying from a city to the old sugarcane plantation in the country. The man in the family grows increasingly more unsympathetic. He has a map to a camp where people gather but hides it scared that he would not be able to control them as well in a bigger community. He ends up being more scary than the zombies.

  • Bullet Train Explosion. A japanese train hijacking movie. The high speed train between Kyoto and Tokyo is threatened with bombs. To prove that he is for real he detonates another bomb. I've seen similar movies, both american and british, so it isn't anything new but it was a bit different in tone and style which was interesting. Worth seeing but not something you'll return to. Netflix.

  • Re-watched  The Beast.

A mysterious sea beast starts preying on the residents of a fishing village.

Peter Benchley rips himself off and replaces the shark with a giant squid. It's not terrible, the cast are fine, the story is familiar, the effects are ok for the time. Its an ok watch.

    Re-watched The Blob.

A meteor crashes to earth outside a small town, it carries an organism that devours every living thing in its path, can it be stopped.......

Classic science fiction movie with Steve McQueen.

    Full Movie.

  • I saw a totally abysmal movie called Bull Shark 2. Lousy acting, bad story even if we buy into the premise that Bull Sharks like it in a lake.....

  • Did a rewatch of Predator (the Schwarzenegger movie) and it was still good. Then thought i would checkout the sequel which i hadn't seen (Predator 2 with Danny Glover in the lead) and it was horrible. Arnie made a wise choice in declining that role. Sequel seldom are as good or better than the original but so much worse than the original is actually quite a feat.

  • Watched the Forgotten with Julianne Moore in the lead supported by Dominic West and Gary Sinise. A Scifi mystery kind of story about a mother who remembers a child that everybody else says never existed. Decent even if i found the ending a bit unsatisfyung.

  • Saw The Peacemaker with Nicole Kidman and George Clooney. Kidman is good while Clooney is Clooney. Never really held him very high as an actor. Movie from 97, a time when i was working my ass off and did not have the time for cinemas. Also i lived abroad so this was a first time view for me. So-so. I guess it pass the time but you'll forget it quickly.

  • The Substance.
Interesting. A lot to analyze and break down if someone wanted to.  Which i don’t. I think it’s all pretty obvious. Chasing the dragon ends in a goopy mess.

  • Yeah I didn't like it at all. So many scenes and characters taken from other movies
