Master Replicas Graphic Artist Dark Tower Wish

edited November 2006 in General news
If you are familar with Master Replicas they sell prop replicas from famous movie franchises such

as Star Wars and LOTR.  This includes figures as well.  MR produces high quality product, expensive,

and highly collectible.

In an interview with one of their graphic artists, Gary Braybill, listed the Dark Tower series

as the one he would love to see MR tackle.  Gary lists some very interesting ideas including

a famous pair of sandalwood weapons.  Here is the text of the short interview:

Who are you, and what do you do at Master Replicas?

Graphic arts lackey, and what ever else I can get away with.

Give us a little personal background - where did you grow up, go to school, etc?

I was stolen by gypsies at birth; then given to a pack of wolves to raise, they taught me to draw and the rest is history.

What is your favorite Master Replicas product, and why?

The One Ring of Sauron, a severed digit is just so cool when you think about it.

If you were a replica, what would you be?

A meat cleaver...

What is your dream product (or license) for Master Replicas?

I'd like to see us produce prop replicas for Stephen Kings' Dark Tower series, Blaine the Mono to start with. A series of Scene Replicas™ one from each book, a Roland Deschain Character Statuette, and prop replicas of Roland's sandalwood handled shooting irons.

Master Replicas has got to be a lot of fun - any amusing stories about any of your co-workers?

When I signed my NDA, there was a clause that stated that I would be pummeled and beaten profusely if I divulged any company information, strategies, or stories; whether they be truth or lies.

“I did hear that at one of our company parties, Travis bit the head of a bat off, on a dare?”

Do you collect anything?  If so, what?

Anything and everything... well, mostly everything.

If you had to design a package for yourself, what kind of packaging would it be?

A portly mime trapped in a clear box with an arrow imbedded between his eyes.

If you were a Crayola Crayon, what color would you be?

Clear.

Tomato or Tom-ah-to?

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
