Does anyone know the age of Rhea? Does it exactully say in the book or not?

I think the pink ball kinda sucked the life out of her each time she gazed into it and it made her to appear alot older than she really was.

Any ideas?

    Her age isn't given, but she has gnarled fingers the first time she opens the box to look at the grapefruit, so I think the implication is that she is old already. Susan thinks of her as an old woman, a crone and a hag right from the beginning. Also, "Years it had been since she had felt the call of her sex," so it seems she's well past menopause.

    It also says that only the oldest of Hambry's town folk even have an idea of how old Rhea is. No one knows for sure how old she really is.
