Bev Vincent Punches Out Stephen King in Drunken Barroom Brawl
While shocked onlookers watched and placed bets on the outcome, Bev Vincent punched out Stephen King at Chuckles' Tavern, where the two were reportedly engaged in an argument over who knew more about King's Dark Tower series.
"I couldn't hear exactly what they were talking about," said Harold Miner, 67, a regular at Chuckles'. "But that Bev Vincent guy started shouting something about 'lobstrosities,' and Stephen King started shakin' his head and sayin' that he didn't know what he was talkin' about. Then King threw a drink in Vincent's face, and boom, Vincent goes and punches him right off his barstool!"
King could not be reached for comment. A scowling Bev Vincent promised a "very special" column in the next issue of Cemetery Dance.
