Cancelled?

According to this... Kingdom Hospital sounds like it's cancelled? http://g.msn.com/0US!s5.31472_315529/88.c3914/6??cm=eTopStandard

It hasn't been canceled.

I've checked out USA Today and looked at a Kingdom Hospital link and Bev is right it hasn't gone yet:
http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2004-04-08-savetv-list_x.htm
All the list shows is that some shows are becoming reconsidered whilst others are being renewed.
From another site I saw it said alot of good shows are being reconsidered because too many people are happy with “reality” TV crap, that's easy to make and cheap TV. Hence the networks like this...but the good drama's are still there and all it may come to is just letting the stations (that allow these programmes to come back in the autumn/fall) know that you want to watch them and that they are good and interesting TV.
So it's not over yet
At least the US produces alot of good high quality drama's...the UK is flooded with house makeover shows/gardening shows/talk shows/reality gameshows where you sit around watching idiots sitting around chatting to each other for weeks on end so that they can win a cash prize for a given charity/or for themselves. If they feel strongly enough about helping charities then they should donate what they can. There is far too much reality TV surfacing and I've always said it won't be long till we see something along the lines of the Running Man scenario
Wow - a long post for a programme I haven't even seen yet...
Author: Rache4173
whew.... thanks for the confirmation, guys.
Author: Mobular
Well, I'll tell ya.
There are 3 shooting days left, and they have not told us if the show will be picked up for a second season, and the general feeling around the studio is that it's a no go....
Author: Lin242
Rache, I couldn't bear not being able to see at the least this full season. If it doesn't get picked up well.... anyone who has loved Twin Peaks will sympathize will a short run of a show that deserved better.
Mobular, forgive my ignorance please, I'm relatively new, are you sympatico with the powers that be? Do you have pull, clout perhaps??? Seriously, I'm curious about how you know.

I see people with ARCs, and advance copies of movies (i.e. Salem's Lot) and people that know there are three days of shooting left on KH and people that get to chat with Marsha D.! Gee Whiz, where was I when they handed out all the good luck!

Here's a quote to shiver your timbers regarding Kingdom Hospital:
Author: CRinVA
and dare I ask who/where the quote is from? :? :? :?
Are we still in the first Act, or have they stated the second?
Author: Bev Vincent
Quote is from the scriptwriter and adaptor...
With 13 hours total I'd say we're probably solidly in the middle of Act II. It probably roughly works out to March = Act I, April = II and May = III.
Author: Mobular
I am in fact part of the shooting crew, but in a non-creative capacity.
I've been lurking around here, and a few other sites just to see reaction to the show!
Author: Lin242
Mobular, that is awesome!! I imagine you've checked out The Green Mile also then, because there are reports there every week. Lin's Steve and I have really enjoyed the show, I think there was just one that kind of limped along, maybe #3. I'm bummed a little that it moved to Thursday nights, but we're working around it.
Have fun!

Mobular!!! How cool is that?? Man! I just LOVE the internet! Look at all the cool people and things I can experience Get to chat with Bev, and he knows WONDERFUL tidbits! Angels Girl has met the gorgeous Rob....endy is in on secret info regarding a movie, and now YOU!!! HOw awesome IS this!!!
Well, maybe you could and would answer a question???? WAS that King's voice in The Headless episode? What was the title of the book that Mrs. R was reading? And will this go to DVD????
I know that's more than one question, but I just can't help myself
Author: Bev Vincent
The moderator of King's message board posted that it wasn't King's voice...but I want to double check that. It sure sounded a lot like him.
Author: Mobular
Sorry, but I'm no help in any of these questions.
The DVD decision and voiceover work is all done on the creative level, and in L.A. As for the book, I might have been able to find out, but today is the last day of shooting( approx. 11pm). Given more time, I may have been able to find out! Sorry!
Author: Lin242
, I tells ya it was Misery. I swear I saw it plain as day. We'll try and get some conclusive proof somewhere.
Mobular, are you actually Canadian yourself or transplanted from LA temporarily? If you are Canadian, what do you think the Nucks' chances are?
Lin
Author: CRinVA
Misery would be correct!
This was one of the answers to the Kings Closet (group on MSN) March Madness King Trivia Contest!
Author: Lin242
Do I hear Conclusive Response in VA???
You're good Bob, real good.
Thanks and goodnight! I am off to tidy my desk, drive, do groceries, watch playoff hockey in that order... oh, and try and sneak American Idol in too... could be hard....
Nite all! Lin

Aw shucks (@)
I'm really not that good - I just happened to know where the answer was. I actually got it wrong in the Trivia contest. I said Bag of Bones, which made a cameo appearance in the episode previous to the one with Misery!
Enjoy you're evening - hockey and Idol for sure.
I don't think for once that I have anything planned tonight! I aught to go home early! Yep I am - nite nite!

Canadian, born and bred! Most (90% or so) of the people in B.C. film production are Local. Only certain key people would be from the south.
As for the 'Nucks, well, they got off to a great start, after a sensational comeback from the loss of Bertuzzi. The last game was just awful though. I'm going to chalk it up to Hedberg being jittery with his new starting goalie position. Can't, and won't give up on the boys!
Author: Lin242
Bob, hope you enjoyed your “unplanned” evening. I forgot to list eat dinner in mine, but I did manage to do that before the game which was awesome!! Missed most of Idol though.. oh well....~_~
Mobular -- that's cool. I would love to visit British Columbia one day, I have friends there, so does Steve (my Steve, not OUR Steve ), plus he has family there too. No excuses!
I am so pumped by our Senators win last night, we finally unravelled Balfour a little bit and tied our own series 2-2. I live about 5 mins from the Corel Centre but can nary afford a game! ~0 Sooo expensive. TV works just fine.
Thanks for all your tidbits of information on KH too!

I'd like to see Vancouver some day, too. I spent a day in Victoria once on a daytrip excursion when I was in Seattle for a conference and I loved it.
Author: Lin242
Bev, somewhere you haven't been yet -- will miracles NEVER cease? Conversely, I have always wanted to visit Seattle.

My college aged daughter went to Vancouver a few weeks back for a Model UN Conference at a University there! I would have loved to tag along!

I've often wondered how the 50 or so people that won the ABC K.H. contest liked their visit. I was there the day of the tour, and chatted with a few...one fellow said he couldn't wait to get back home :? . Anyone else had contact with any of the winners?
Nope -- I entered the contest but never heard anything about it after that. If I'd won you wouldn't have been able to get me to leave!
Did you get any time with Rick Dooling? He's a great guy.
Author: IT 216.94.236.76
Ok, I concede! It was Misery. Though my eyes still saw Wastelands!!
Author: Mobular
Haven't met Rick Dooling, but Bob Phillips and Bruce Dunn are really nice guys!
Author: Narda
Mobular, always nice to see another BC person around. Sounds like you have a pretty good job.
I'm enjoying the series so far and would love to see another season. My kids think it's weird and can't understand why I enjoy it. Apparently Yugi-oh and Most Extreme Challenge makes much better viewing.
Bev, Victoria is nice, but the other end of the island is so much nicer.
Author: Mobular
Well, it doesn't look good at all! Picture vehicles have been sold off and Set dec is selling off goods. When a show continues on, these items are kept. Selling off is a sure sign of no seaon 2!

It wasn't on last week and a friend of mine said he checked the local listings for this coming Thursday, and it's not on this week either...
Author: Bev Vincent
ABC decided not to put it up against the Friends finale and the Frasier finale. It also gives the post-production crew extra time on the SFX. It'll be back on the air on the 20th.
Author: Stalkingbutler
Cool. I knew it was something like that. Just had to make sure... *whew*
