Episode 2
Author: CrinVA
I'm still in for the long ride! I did like the dog's thoughts after the Van Driver fell off the roof!
Antubis is quite menacing when you catch a glimpse of his mouthful of glistening teeth with a bit of drool spewing off!
I especially like it when Peter's wife was telling/asking Peter to open his eyes and he was thinking my eyes are open. It was cool seeing his eyes through his eyelids!
Speaking of eyes - the maintenance man's glasses give him the biggest eyes I have ever seen!
I did not notice any new links to other King-isms, but kept out a watchful eye for the #19 on the ambulance and Dr. Hook did ask for a Nozzie or something like that when the other character offered to get sodas.

The SFX people talk a little about creating that eyeball effect. It's a cool idea.
The scene with the EMT guy at the soda machine is recounted in The Journals of Eleanor Druse.
I still have the last 10 minutes or so to watch, but it was a pretty good episode. I don't like the guy who plays Bobby compared to the fellow from Riget or the way I had him pictured from the Journals. He doesn't have much presence on the screen.
I like the running joke with the custodian-du-jour; Johnny B. Goode, the nominal custodian, never appears and there's someone else each week. This time it was the Native Canadian actor who was in the series North of 60. I liked the scene where he kicked in Steg's car door and then bonded with the delinquents across the street.

Alas, I was soooo tired last night, so I digitally recorded it and will watch it tonight. Ten PM is just too late for working girls like me who have to be up at 5:30AM. Plus we have our bed set up with a home theatre system and watch everything there, so once I hit the sheets, if I'm too tired, I out like a light. I'll comment after I watch it, but it sounds like it was really good from all the scuttle today.

Bev,
I liked the parking lot scene as well - considering that I have grown to hate Stegman already it was sweet to see his door kicked in! I also agree on the Bobby character - he doesn't provide much - I cannot base that on the original as I have not seen that! Nor have I finished The Journals ... - just too tired to read at night. !@#$

I FORGOT to watch it!!!!!!! I was super busy last night getting ready for a big music gig I'm doing tomorrow and I didn't even get home until 9:30 p.m. anyways and just completley forgot. It's a good thing I have a fellow King fan as a co-worker who recorded it...

Just received an email from the Stephen King mail list (as part of stephenking.com) and it said that KH (episode #2) would be re-broadcast Saturday night at 10pm! So if ya missed it here's another chance to watch! I'll probably just be getting home from the 8:00pm show of Secret Window and might just have to re-watch it myself! It'll be a King night for me!

ABC originally intended to rebroadcast the second episode of Kingdom Hospital this past Saturday night. but did not do so because they had objections from the advertisers of America's Funniest Home Videos which was already slotted for that time period. We did not find out in time to notify you that ABC had changed their plans for the Saturday rebroadcast. We apologize for the inconvenience. They have told us they will rebroadcast this Saturday but we would suggest checking your local listings.
