Now up at Amazon

  • Sweet - that comes out in just a couple of weeks. I'm gonna go ahead and get my preorder in now.

  • I got my finished copy from the publicity department today. It's a big, thick volume!
  • I saw this on the shelf at the mall bookstore last night - heading back to pick it up today when I'm done at work. I was surprised at how much BIGGER it is than Vol. 1!

Later this year, when I've got Bev's book in hand as well, I'm going to (hopefully) do a re-read of all the DT books with the three references along for the ride. (If I ever get through all the other stuff I want to read, of course...)

  • I've had mine on preorder since last summer/autumn, but it was delayed for some reason and now the UK has a July 4 release date.

Oh, btw - I was looking through Amazon last night and it turns out that there is an illustrated edition of 'Salem's Lot (Doubleday) appearing this November, just ahead of the H&S release of the same title, in December.

Is tempted to buy both ;D
  • DTUK, Do mean that Hodder & Stoughton is issuing the illustrated Salem's Lot? Can you post an Amazon.UK link so I can preorder one?

    Thanks,

    John
  • Hi

Here is the link to the one I think DTUK mentioned. I'm not 100% sure if it's illustrated or if it's the same that is released in the US. I'm looking into it though.

  • Thanks, Lilja. If it is NOT the one issued in the US, I'll be ordering one!

  • The illustrated book is by DoubleDay - which I think is the one that was mentioned here as being an American Illustrated edition, out in November.

The Hodder & Stoughton is a non-illustrated edition released this December. I've looked all over as well and have found very little information on the H&S edition.

Lilja had it right with the link to the UK edition of 'Salem's Lot - and what a great price too! :) - this is the one I've ordered.

Here's the link to the Illustrated Doubleday version being published in the UK:

Does anyone know if the illustrated version has pictures pertaining to the book, or are they more like mood pieces?

  • Mine's now on order!

Ah, thanks, Bev - I believe I shall stick with the H&S version :)
