Kajganich Writing Pet Sematary Redo
Variety reports that Paramount has hired horror specialist Dave Kajganich to write its revival of Pet Sematary, produced by Alphaville.
Kajganich, who's spec Town Creek is set up at Warner Bros., has also been hired to write the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers for Warner and an update of 1979 ghost tale The Changeling for Focus Features.
Earlier this year Paramount hired the scripting team of Mike Werb and Michael Colleary to pen a reimagining of Pet Sematary. The film is based on Stephen King's story of a family moving to a small Maine town with a pet cemetery and an Indian burial ground, in 1989.

Although our source was very secure (and double checked), George Clooney's publicist tells us that he will NOT be in Paramount's remake of Pet Sematary. We're going to look further into this story as it appears that they are beginning to cast the film...
Paramount brought the book to life in 1989, with a feature version adapted by King that starred Dale Midkiff, Denise Crosby and Fred Gwynne. At one point, George Clooney was circling the new film
