A short story collection?

With over two dozen short stories in print, and a novel pending publication, would you consider putting out a short story anthology? I, for one, would buy it :).

    In my opinion, one of the big mistakes people make in this business is to put out a short story collection before you've developed a name. Story collections don't sell nearly as well as novels but they're easier for a writer to cobble together so they're tempting. Ultimately, if my fiction takes off, I'll probably do one, but I'd need to have at least one decently well accepted novel under my belt before I'd even consider releasing a collection.
