I just watched it after taping it this morning. Not bad, but sort of superficial as always. Katie Couric did the interview, Steve looked great and was jovial, and they did something special for his birthday at the end that I'll let you see yourself.

That always irritates me. Only shows like Charlie Rose go into some depth.

People who saw Charlie Rose interview King last night at the YMCA weren't terribly impressed by the depth of his questions, nor by the fact that Rose's cell phone went off in the middle of things!

King did indeed look great, and the interview was quite superficial -- it must be a chore, being interviewed by someone who obviously has not read a single word of your writing. The "Johnny" bit was amusing.
