.....so, I seem to have a vintage Viewmaster for a brain, because when I tuck myself in for the night, I have little photo vignettes that go around in circles in my gray matter....last night it locked on to an image from the final KingCon in Maine, the "Sometimes They Come Back" tour....three people stood out....Glenn Chadbourne, Robin Furth and our host of his self-named Board-Bev Vincent.....what struck me was how shallow I was at the time and so full of myself....Hell, I was the Village Idiot of the SKMB!!!.....I sort of grasped the concept that these were three people I should be humble in front of-but did a poor job of carrying it out.....for that, and in retrospect-I would like to apologize for my hubris.....Glenn and Robin couldn't have been more gracious and Bev?....I didn't really grasp how integral he is as a writer and also a touchstone to King....I understand now, and am ashamed that I was so puffed up with my own sense of importance....in some small way, I hope this makes amends....

I swear to God I am going to go loco on some Duolingo bitches!

I was 16 — SIXTEEN— units of study away from finishing my Spanish course. 

They “updated” the course, proudly letting me know they did so. 

I am now 80 units away from finishing!  Yes. The units themselves became shorter, but i find they are harder and it isn’t going to even out with 16 in the long run— there is more work added.

Scott, do not be disappointed in yourself. I’m sure you feel your behavior was less than shiny, but I have no doubt nobody thought anything about it other than a young guy excited by the moment!

A few snaps from the past few weeks. 
The ones of E are the last time she came to the river with us. Sadly it's just too far for old legs/joints to walk now. I had to help her climb the steps back up the hill to home on that evening earlier this week. 🥹
She's happy hanging out at home.🐾
(I do sneak out of a side door with M when we walk, just so I don't make her feel bad. 💞)
