One of the more creative fakes on the net. It started in 2008 0r possibly 7. Most sites claimed it was the mummified remains of a swedish gnome (Hustomte in swedish) which is a small fairy related creature that lives in the barns of farmers and as long as they keep their house neat and clean and put out a plate of food now and then they bring good luck to the farm and make sure that animals are safe and healthy. He is claimed to have been found in 1866 in the old barn wall with a note that said: This old housegnome was found by my father, Jan Peterson, in the winter of 1866. He was already lifeless.  After that, a bit further down by Jacob Peterson. It says By Jacob Peterson because it was made by him. It is a piece of art and the note is part of it. The artist in the original made it perfectly clear that that was the case. As many artists he signed his work. Later a lot of sites throw it out of context. Since then it has circulated on a lot of sites that deals with strange and unexplained things. I like it. Even if a mummification in just two years is highly unlikely in a barn but let we can let that slide.
