  • Neil has put out a statement:

    https://journal.neilgaiman.com/?m=1
....variations on a theme, that have come ad nauseum from so many of these rat bastards...I'll give him the fact that some of this may not be true.....in no way am I excusing anything-just saying facts become fluid....however, the refrain is all to familiar...."I was a bad boy, and I'm working on myself".....blah, blah, puke, gag....you're a piece of shit Neil....pound THAT sand, man.....

John Scalzi has a simple write-up on his Whatever blog that is worth a read.

John talks about the best case scenario which is still pretty fucking bad. What Neil admits to is still pretty skeezy.

I have always been one who wants these things  to play out before judging. That doesn’t mean I don’t have opinions though. But in this situation, once their kid took a role in this adult shit, that is where my mind exploded.  I HAVE to side with the victims and that little boy. I have to.

If it comes to light that all this is false, I will admit I was wrong. No problem. But again, the things he has admitted to make my skin crawl. I own what I own of his stuff. But I won’t be buying anything new.

He’s let a lot of people down, disappointed not only fans but friends, family, colleagues. Their struggle of what to do with this is sad.

Many will stay quiet like John mentions, some might say something. But, I won’t condemn them for hanging onto the Neil they know/knew until they might not be able to.

While many of you are uninterested or weary of this Neil Gaiman topic, I find it utterly fascinating in an observational way.

Listening and watching others struggle, support, accept, condemn while processing these alleged accusations  — I feel much the same way as I feel while watching and listening to Trump supporters. I become a spider, sitting on the edge of my web, people watching— a Dian Fossey or Jane Goodall researcher.

They are all bugs in a jar, just as I may be to someone else. Not in a bad way, in a curious way.

So, I continue to sit back and take it all in and I recommend a Youtube put up today by Library of a Viking. Just a fan speaking his thoughts, but quietly eloquent imo. Under 10 minutes.

Amanda has issued a statement asking that we respect her privacy because of ongoing divorce and custody.

Like someone said on reddit, “she wants her boundaries respected”, unlike what she did to their victims. Fucking hairy hag.

They involved their kid? I haven't heard very much about any of this, I had to Google him to find out the bones of it initially. Jesus.

So I am grocery shopping online.  I wanted some apples, but I am not familiar with this variety.  So I looked it up and this is the first description I got.

    Things to know
Taste…What do opal apples taste like?
Image result for What do opal apples taste like
And like a good ass, the Opal apple is exceptionally sweet and juicy. In fact, the complex flavor profile featuring hints of banana, coconut, and pear make this Czech-born, oddly-named monstrosity a delight to consume

    Like What??

  • I don't know if I mentioned this before. This reminds me of the time I was working for Amtrak. I was in Washington DC at the station. Crowded, security High. Along Comes a policeman with a very large German Shepherd. The dog was alerted by the trash can near me. Dove in. Everyone stopped, frightened stepped way back. Upcomes the German Shepherd with a sandwich that he had dug out. Everyone was so relieved and there was nervous laughter about.

  • Kurben! I just watched a girl on YouTube talk about things swedish people do that others would find odd.

Is it true, because you have so many badgers, that if you take a nature hike, you put crunchy bread chunks in your welly boots so if a badger bites you, it will hear the crunch?

Apparently a badger will not release until it hears what it thinks is bone crunchings.

    Wth!  Fucking Swedish badgers!

Lol!!!  Absolutely not true. I have taken many forest walks and have only seen a badger once. They are normally quite shy of humans and also not really very dayactive animals. Mostly dusk and dawn, at least for hunting. Beautiful though.....

  • I've checked out the video now. She has some points otherwise, That thing about not bragging for example. And that you cant buy liquor at the supermarket. Either you go to the pub or you go to the "Systembolaget" and buy what you want. You can buy beer, though not a strong one, at the supermarket but wine or anything stronger you have to go to Systembolaget. I have never had any problems with it. Only means its more difficult to buy on impulse since you cant just turn the corner to the nearest store, it takes some planning. But that badger thing....  She says herself its a myth, must be a local one. I've never heard of it and since she seems to be coming from the north of sweden it might be a northern myth.

  • Sweden has had its first school shooting. At a Komvux school, a type of school were people for different reasons can go to improve their grades so they can get the job they want. Therefore the people going there are grownups mostly late 20,s, 30,s and 40,s that have discovered that the jobmarket puts more demands on them than they thought so they read up their skills there. Anyway a 35 year old loner that was a pupil at the school walked in with three rifles and killed 10 people. It is the worst mass shooting in swedish history.

Happy Valentine’s Day. I adore you all.

    To those of you alone.
To those of you with just the right person.
To those of you who couldn’t care less.
To those of you who could care less, but aren’t quite at the bottom of caring less.
To those with the wrong person.
If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with. (I’d post the song if I could.)

    Thinking of you.

    ❤️❤️❤️
