  • I'm in the middle of the final two-parter.
It seems to be getting better the deeper into the seasons it goes.

  • What did you think of Valhalla?

  • It’s not as polished as other Scandinavian series, but it’s not bad. I’m on episode 2.

  • What did you think of Valhalla?
It's pretty good. And the scenery is breathtaking.

  • Wasn't it?  I absolutely love foreign series so keep giving suggestions on those for sure.  I love to hear about a good foreign series, especially in the suspense, murder, thriller, horror, intrigue vein.

Did you like Reckoning?  It took me a bit to get into this.  The acting was hanging me up for whatever reason.  But, the storyline was interesting.  I will definitely tune in for a Season 2.  They left season 1 in a very interesting place.

  • I'm just one episode into it, but liking it okay so far.

The acting isn't great. It probably doesn't help that they're mostly Australian actors trying to sound American. I'm on episode 6--I'll stick with it to the end, but I'm champing at the bit to get on to Marcella S3.

your latest update.  What did you think about it?  I'm always looking for good things to add to my queue.

  • I do an "update" post to refresh the thread because when I add to the list in the first post, it doesn't register as a new post. Only one episode of I'LL BE HOME IN THE DARK is available -- it's good so far. I have a ton of respect for Patton Oswalt. He's a guy I'd love to spend an hour or two with over a few beers.

  • And when you say "update", I go look to see what you added.  A lot of times, it is something I've been circling so I like to hear your thoughts on it.  Or anyone else's who has watched it.

With so much content out there, it's nice to get feed back from people.  Depending on the person,  you know if it is something you might or might not enjoy too.

  • Never really liked the Watchmen TV Series, too different from the Alan Moore book.

  • I had the advantage of never having read the source material -- I thought it was great.

I encourage you to read the original Watchmen book, its widely considered one of the best comicbook's of all time, I also believe that TIME Magazine had it as one of the best books of the last century.

  • The Netflix series, Vikings, is really good.

Duh, Vikings is Amazon, apologies. It is The Last Kingdom which is a really good show on Netflix.

I'm surprised that you put Picard on your list, Bev. I thought it was horrible ...

  • I liked it a lot.

  • I watched & loved Afterlife - I love raunchy humor spoken with the proper & polite British accent.  The Ogre watched season 1 with me, but I the content made him sad and he wasn't up for Season 2 - he likes Gervais.  I did think Gervais's character went a little overboard with his cruelty at times. I don't see how to spoiler, so I won't divulge. It's worth watching.

I love this program, I've started on S2 but keep stalling because of how sad it gets at the end of each episode. I'll suck it up and keep going though because I think it's a very clever show, massive highs and deep dark lows--sometimes within minutes of each other.

    I loved Afterlife.

Spoilers are under that first symbol that has an arrow pointing down. Sort of looks like something you would find on the graph? staff? that you would write out musical notes.

  • Afterlife is so great...apart from the bits in season 2 with the therapist, hard to watch. I was supposed to see Ricky live at the end of last month. Damn you 'Rona!!!
