Stephen King to write Children's Books
Stephen King has decided to give up his horror story writing, and turn to a kinder, gentler world - children's books.
Stephen felt that he had gone through all the horror plots he had in his brain, and it was time to tap into a new, fertile area with much room for growth. His first stories focus on the tales of a friendly group of fuzzy moles - named the Moling Family - and their daily adventures. In one story, they work together to drag a radish back from the nearby farm. In another story, Joey Moling falls into a ditch and needs to be rescued.
Stephen feels quite happy with his direction change, and looks forward to many fruitful years of stories sure to thrill the 3-8 set!

Heather has an extremely fertile imagination. It sounds like an interesting story but I will not be the one telling it. In my version of the Molings, they would all be cut in half by the farmer's harrow and would come back from the dead to exact their revenge and the 3-8 year olds would be up all night.

King's response is cute.
