New episode tonight! Seizure Day.

edited July 2004 in General news
Don't forget!

The hospital is in the middle of a seizure epidemic, which Dr. Hook believes may be cuased by an otherworldly phenomenon, and many patients are experiencing frightening visions of the living dead haunting Kingdom Hospital. Meanwhile, Dr. Stegman's many inner demons are brought to the surface as he continues to try and cover up evidence of his malpractice in the Mona Klingerman case.

  • Doesn't anyone have any comments on last night's episode? What do you think the Dr. and Paul are trying to accomplish with hooking up the headless guy to a computer? I'm surprised they even got a computer to turn on, they have no idea what one is!
  • That was a funny scene -- I loved it when the computer crashed to show the Blue Screen of Death! A pretty good episode, though with only a little forward plot momentum. They have the Klingerman report, finally. I think Stegman's lover's brew is what's making him see things. Otto watching them strip the guy's car in the parking lot: :o Now he can finally see things going on.

The B probe -- well, I guess that's the Bible system!

Did anyone catch the title of the book someone was reading that was onscreen for only a moment. It didn't look familiar and my reception was too hazy to read it.

Paul is a mysterious character -- he seems primarily evil but he helps out from time to time.

    Three hours left to go!
  • Hi MRC and Bev,

Bev, I just asked YOU at the Mile if the book was Witchcraft for Idiots. :) I'm sure that's what I read -- it was propped up when Steg's girlfriend (whose name escapes me) was making her potion.

Actually my older son watched last night's episode and is sorry he never saw the first 10 or so (I feel a Christmas present off HIS list). ;)

It didn't think it was Witchcraft for Idiots, but it looked like some folksy, homey, mellow guide to simple witchery.

There was another book shown earlier in the episode, though. I can't remember who was reading it, but it was onscreen only briefly but the camera lingered on it long enough that the title should have been legible, except on my crappy reception.

I wonder if I'm "combining" the two... I know there was something for "idiots" because that's the only word I could make out on the cover.. :) That's gonna bug me now. :-/

I'm glad! Now is Mona dead, or alive?? I haven't seen her for awhile and she popped up last night with Mary. Is she in "in between world" as well?

I know, Paul confuses me to no end. It seems he is helping to bring down Steg, but on the other hand he scared the crap out of Elmer!!
  • Mona is still alive but catatonic because of Steg's butchery. She seems somewhat attuned to what's going on in the Hospital, too. Or, perhaps, Mary just feels sorry for her.
  • I can't believe I forgot my favourite line of the whole episode from Dr. Hook:

Speaking about "black noise"... Carrie asks, is it something real? And Hook giggles in this weird way and says "yes, I googled it!"... LOVED IT! :)

Honestly, I thought of you Bev. 8)

  • Just a little tidbit: On the spine of the witchcraft book she was reading, the author was Barlow Straker. Like the characters in 'Salem's Lot, he he.
  • The name of the book Steg's girlfriend (Massengill?) is using for her spell is "Make Him Want You With Witchery, Love Potions, Charms & Spells" and as Josh F. said, Straker was the author.

As far as I could tell, the book Carrie was reading is "The Idiot" by Dostoevsky. (I googled the title to find the author ;) ;D Hook's comment really cracked me up!)

Did you catch the reference to SK? The reporter starts her broadcast with "Two days ago, in a scene of horror out of a Stephen King novel, popular street priest . . ." :o

Boy, Elmer really freaked when he saw his own autopsy photo! He looked a lot older in it, but I doubt that was any consolation! And I don't blame Bobby one bit for running away, screaming, when he found Mr. Bates! I would've passed him in the hall if I had been there! By the way, did anyone else notice the resemblance between Mr. Bates and Steg? I wondered if it was the same actor playing both roles, but I'm not sure. Maybe it was just the over-the-top histrionics that reminded me of him.

I am really glad we didn't have to actually watch Antibus eating the ants. The maggots coming out of the brain and then the ants crawling over it were bad enough! Thought I was going to lose it for a minute there! :-X
