I enjoy this story and will definitely be on the look out for this in 2005 at a film festival.
Turtle Bay is in talks with several major directors and will be making an announcement on Gotham's new direction in the near future.
This sort of thing happens all the time, so don't fear, this isn't doom, gloom and dispair...we're still on track and there will be news in the very near future. See the official web page for some other updates.

Mr. Sadilek's biography can be found here
I am sure Mr Sadilek is a great director and will do a good job. Congrats to the Gotham Cafe crew for finally finding a director again for the project. ;D
Some of his credits are The Agency and The George Clooney Project, a Section Eight pilot for HBO. He is trained at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and is a professional cyclist in addition to being an actor.
First, they are going to lose Robert Axelrod, who is in the hospital and unable to shoot--We wish him a speedy recovery.
Secondly, it looks like Ingo is not going to be able to get time off from General Hospital, so recasting efforts are currently under way to find a new Steve.
More details as they become available. Shooting will still take place in September and the production crew is moving at light speed!
Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple computer and inventor of the personal computer, will be talking about how he became involved in the project.
