Fair Extension in charity anthology (and me, too)

edited December 2011 in General news
[table][tr][td]

"Fair Extension' is reprinted in Rage Against the Night edited by Shane Jiraiya Cummings. Under the onslaught of supernatural evil, the acts of good people can seem insignificant, but a courageous few stand apart. These brave men and women stand up to the darkness, stare it right in the eye, and give it the finger. These are the stories of those who rage against the night, stories of triumph, sacrifice, and bravery in the face of overwhelming evil.

All proceeds will be donated to Rocky Wood, author and President of the Horror Writers Association, who is battling motor neurone disease.

The lineup of contributors is impressive, and includes...me!

The eBook version (only $3.99) is now available, with the print copy to follow in January. You can get it for Kindle at Amazon or in a variety of eBook formats at Smashwords.

  • Who's the publisher?

  • Thanks, Bev.

  • By the way, there will be a proof of the trade paperback, but I suspect it will be strictly electronic.
  • Thanks, Bev. I'll see what I can do! :)

  • Signed by STEPHEN KING - the only copy of this title RAGE AGAINST THE NIGHT

    From Rocky Wood:

This is the first edition of 'Rage Against the Night' (Brimstone Press), an anthology to raise funds to assist me in buying an 'Eye-Gaze' Device to handle the ALS/Motor Neurone Disease (Lou Gehrig's Disease) from which I suffer. More details on that fundraiser here: http://www.australianhorror.com/index.php?view=287 .

To my certain knowledge Stephen King has only signed three copies of this book. It has been selling as an ebook and has only now gone into print (online orders only). I took three copies to Atlanta recently, where I attended the premiere of 'Ghost Brothers of Darkland County' (a new musical from King, John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett). King kindly signed three copies - one personalized to myself (which I obviously will never sell), one personalized to the publisher (which he will keep), and this one.

King kindly flat-signed it (in other words he penned only his signature, no message) on the title page of his actual story, 'Fair Extension'.

So, this is your ONLY chance to ever purchase a copy of this book signed by Stephen King. If you so choose I will append my signature to my 'Introduction'.

The book itself is full of great horror tales donated by the authors and is 424 pages long. It will be packaged with great care for postage.
