  • Ms. Mod sez:

Following up on the report by ew.com that Steve will be doing a cameo for the FX series, Sons of Anarchy, he has asked me to let you know that he will give you a full report of his adventures. He will be filming his part later this month in California.
  • Great. He is sure to have scenes with Katey Segal - sure hope he gets one with Ron Perlman too.
  • Interesting. I've never watched the series, so I'm not sure what to expect when I do start it.

  • It's fantastic. I watched the two seasons over the past couple of weeks and was immediately drawn in. Sons of Anarachy (aka SAMCRO = Sam Crow) is a motorcycle "club" (aka gang) that runs a garage/repair service in a small northern California town. They keep the really bad guys (prostitutes, drugs) out of town through an uneasy alliance with the local cops, while they buy and sell guns to other gangs in other parts of the state. The main character is the son of the group's founder. Ron Perlman is his stepfather and current leader of the pack. Katey Sagal (Lost, Married with Children) is his mother.

The show really humanizes some people with questionable moral compasses. They aren't brutish animals--they have good sides. They love, they experience loss...but they can also be cold blooded and vengeful.
  • Entertainment Weekly previews the new season

Plus, Stephen King makes a nicely chilling cameo in an upcoming episode that I won't spoil by describing further. Let me just say he's as scary as any SAMCRO biker, and that's scary indeed.
  • Can't wait. This and Dexter are starting up soon. Woohoo!

Yes, that guy who appears out of nowhere on Tuesday night's episode of "Sons of Anarchy" is none other than author and Entertainment Weekly columnist Stephen King.

King wound up in the episode, after he wrote in his EW column that he likes "Sons of Anarchy" because "it's one of those shows that seems to have gotten better as it goes along" and creator and Executive Producer Kurt Sutter got in touch with him.

Sutter thanked King and offered him a part on the show.

"Ordinarily, I'd say no," King told FX in this interview for FXNetworks.com. "But he said he'd put me on a Harley, so here I am."

King, who has been riding his Harley since he was 22, plays a "cleaner" named Bachman in the episode.
