You say you want a resolution
This’ll probably be my last blog entry of 2011. The time when people might traditionally be expected to write about resolutions. Not me. I don’t make them. Never have. I’m not exactly an introspective person. Sure, I meet deadlines and … Continue reading
Bestsellers and out of stock books
Brimstone Press reports: Rage Against the Night, edited by Shane Jiraiya Cummings [which contains my story The View from the Top], was released in the days before Christmas, and it has very quickly become Brimstone Press’s most sought-after title. On Christmas Day, Rage … Continue reading
Dreaming of a wet Christmas
Back to the real world again after a 4-day weekend. The week between December 19th and yesterday was the rainiest we’ve seen in eighteen months. We went out to the family service on Christmas Eve in a drizzle and it … Continue reading
A bigger boat
Currently reading The Litigators by John Grisham. Quirky. Not his standard fare, at least not yet. I’m to the point where the drunk lawyer shows up at the ambulance chasers’ office. No real story, yet. I posted two new reviews this week: The … Continue reading

Lucky I brought my axe-cane
I’m making decent headway on the story that I need to get in the mail by Friday to meet the deadline. I wrote 1200 words yesterday morning, deleted 100 of them this morning upon revision and added another 1000 or … Continue reading
About Time
Yesterday was my lucky day, I guess. I won a free tire rotation by answering a trivia question on my local car dealer’s Facebook page, and when I got home I found a package containing both the hardcover and audio … Continue reading
Maybe I was paying attention
I received my first rejection letter of 2010. No, maybe it’s my second one. I think so. They don’t sting quite as much as they once did, but I had hopes for this one. It was intended for Blood Lite … Continue reading
