I received my copy of The Stephen King Library Desk Calendar 2009. Not usually the sort of news worthy of mentioning, except it contains my short essay “Arachnophobia” on the page for May 25-31. Robin Furth edited this year’s calendar, and enlisted contributions from people like Rich Chizmar, Brian Freeman, Peter David and Jae Lee, along with your truly. It was a fun gig to be involved with.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny this week. It’s always a blast when Koothrappali has a video conference with his parents.

My spider senses were right—this is the last year for Boston Legal. Maybe they announced that previously, but I just clued into the “subcaption” today. It just had the feel of a denouement.
