Anyone watch the first two hours of 24 last night? Worth keeping up with? I have it on tape, and plan to commit tonight’s to tape as well, but if I hear enough people saying that it sucks the big one, I might just pass.
The Unit was interesting last night–veering off into fantasy land on a couple of different fronts. First, there was the object named above and the mysterious monastary, which was as firmly rooted to its location as Jacob’s cabin is on Lost (or the island itself, for that matter). Then there was Mack’s communion with Hector and the metaphorical three bullets. An interesting shift in direction. A one time deal or something more permanent? Bob’s story was much more mundane, though it must permanently alter his relationship with his wife to have her see him in action, warts and all.
I got a ton of work done on the new project this weekend. As of this morning, I have finished the Introduction and Chapters 1, 2, 5, 10 and 11 (out of 12), along with a number of sidebars, and I’m closing in on the halfway point in terms of wordcount. Not bad for the first week on the job. Last night I read through a bunch of research material and pulled information out of it this morning that will help me structure a few of the remaining chapters. My first benchmark isn’t for another 10 days, so things are going along very well indeed.
It was 33° when I stepped outside the house at 6:00 a.m. A generally cool week forecast. Frost on the ground, but no snow, so I guess I shouldn’t complain.
