We missed out on the freezing rain (I’m not complaining), but it did get back down to the upper 30s this morning. By Thursday it will be 75° again. Keeping track of the temperature is like trying to predict which way the stock market is going to go on any given day.
The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night. Penny got Sheldon the perfect gift, without realizing the significance of it. Leonard Nimoy’s DNA on a napkin! And of course I loved all the Canadian jokes on How I Met Your Mother. Our daughter wanted to watch Jon and Kate Plus Ei8ht, which I’d never even heard of, let alone seen. It’s about a family that started with twins and exploded with the birth of sextuplets. This week they traveled to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Tennessee. I can’t imagine leaving the house with eight kids under the age of eight, let alone travel. The next episode, where they flew to Utah for a ski vacation would have done me in. All eight kids crying at the same time on a plane held on the tarmac for hours. Just shoot me!
Should have some exciting news to report in the near future. Can’t reveal any specific details yet for fear of jinxing it, but it’s pretty darned cool. My January and February are going to be mega-busy, that’s all I can say.(Don’t you hate it when people tease like that? I do.)
The Survivor folks could be in trouble for shipping back all sorts of contraband from Gabon. Customs officers were in for a surprise when a routine check of freight arriving at the Port of Houston turned up a container filled with a macabre mix of animal hides, feathers, shells, ceremonial masks, bones and the skull of a large baboon…most of the items, some of which were infested with insects or were the remains of protected species, were seized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for evaluation.
