The revolving door

So, the net result of last night’s Big Brother is: nothing! James was evicted, and then unevicted all in the matter of a few moments. A few tears were shed, his departure was met with resounding silence except from Chelsia, and his return was a matter of “the devil we know” vs. the possibility that it could have been Sharon’s ex or Amanda or any of the other undesirables.

I wonder if the singles in sequester have truly been alone all this time. No e-mail, no phone, no television: prisoners have it better than that! The HoH contest looked like one of those that might still be going on a day or so later. As long as they don’t fall asleep or cramp up, there’s little to cause someone to surrender or fall. It’ll be interesting to see how long they managed to hold out.

Not much writing done again this morning, but I did work out revisions to a short story that’s due at the end of the month based on my first reader’s feedback. I also came up with a different approach to some scenes that simplifies the story somewhat, removing unnecessary meanderings and complications, and motivating the action better. I like it when that happens. I haven’t looked at the story in about 10 days, so that gives me some distance from it, and some more clarity about the storyline.
