The last time you’ll ever see my name there

LOST has hit it out of the ballpark every episode this season so far. It’s going to be tough waiting a month after episode seven to get back to the final six. As it’s wont to do, the show continually invites as many questions as it answers, which is what keeps me coming back week after week. For the first time in a long time, I think they telegraphed the ending of last night’s episode about 20 minutes in. For me, the big reveal took place at that point and the final reveal was a little anti-climactic, but there are still questions about that revelation. Perhaps we shouldn’t take it at face value. There are other explanations that could work, too. The conventional explanation doesn’t explain to me why Jack has such strong feelings about the situation. There. I didn’t reveal a thing!

I didn’t get to see last night’s Survivor. I have it on tape for the weekend. Tonight I’ll be standing in judgment of some junior high science fair projects.

I added another 900 words to the manuscript this morning. Tomorrow I hope to do some more work on the novel, but I also have to slog away at the taxes and do some more work on an essay that’s due in a little over a week. I also want to update the first edition guide I have at King’s web site. I’d also like to see Vantage Point, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen this weekend.

A couple of weeks ago, Stephen King asked for people to post on their message board about their “worst entertainment experiences” for an Entertainment Weekly column he was planning to write. I contributed a short article about my misadventures at a Pink Floyd concert in 1994. Here is the Entertainment Weekly article that resulted from his fans’ contributions. Personally, I think he should have added the one about the guy who broke his manhood.
