I worked on a scene in my new novel that is lifted straight from the story that was the inspiration for the novel and modified it as I blended it into the manuscript. This is the scene where the main character really finds his voice, so it’s an important one to me in terms of the general tone of the story. Before too much more time passes, I’m going to print out what I’ve got done so far and go back to make sure I’ve got the voice consistent in the material I’ve written so far. I’m nearing the 12,000 word point. Very pleased with my progress so far.
The owners of the rights to Scrabble have asked Facebook to remove their Scrabulous plug-in. I’ve played one game already and am in the midst of a second, with someone I’ve never met. I’m still working on my Duma Key review. It’s long and unwieldy and I still have some parts that don’t seem to fit together very well. I hope to get it finalized tonight.
