Dustin up

More work on the introduction this morning—I have a nearly complete first draft. I expect to get it in shape to revise tomorrow morning, unless it doesn’t rain, in which case I will be mowing the lawn. Tomorrow we’re going to see Death on the Nile at the Alley Theater, based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name. Peter Ustinov played Poirot in the movie version (unconvincingly, in my opinion). Christie wrote Poirot out of the play when she adapted her novel to add an extra suspect to the mix. Poirot is, after all, above suspicion (Curtains, anyone?).

I added another batch of reviews to Onyx Reviews archives last night. This is going to take a while.

The Big Brother house residents were smart and voted out a strong player, leaving Kail as a lame duck. Good to see Dustin win HoH, because I have absolutely no idea who will be in his sights. The nominations will be a surprise, whereas with Dick I knew before he said anything who would be going up.

I finished The Queen of Bedlam last night. Good novel. Stay tuned for a more in-depth review than that in the next week or two. Next up: Dead Reckonings (critical book reviews) and General Slocum’s Gold a chapbook by Nick Kaufmann, my two NECON purchases. I read Paula Guran’s entry in DR last night.
