Channeling Agatha
My short story Ten Little Phobias just went up at Afterburn SF for your reading pleasure. It’s a science fictional riff on a classic Agatha Christie setup. Agatha Christie was among the first adult novelists I read as a teenager, and I consumed her novels like potato chips. It has been many years since I’ve read one, but I enjoyed the David Suchet BBC adaptations of the Poirot stories a few years back.
It’s reaching the stage on Survivor where things are bound to get pretty nasty. With so few people left, the odds of getting ousted are getting pretty significant. If they’ve got any sense at all, Coach will go next, and then Taj, which leaves Steven, JT and Erinn in the final three. Erinn would be the wild card, with zero chance of winning a jury vote, if there are three in the finale. At the same time, she’d be a potential challenge winner and could mess up the final two, which at this point looks like JT and Steven, which means JT will win.
At this point, I don’t much care who wins, so long as it isn’t Coach.
The wedding story on Grey’s Anatomy would have been a great way to end the season. For some reason I thought it was the finale, and Alex’s words would have been a perfect ending. And yet we have two more hours to go next week. The turnabout on the wedding was a nice move, I thought.
